I have recently ventured into the world of Instagram, looking for a new way to display my poems. Here, I share the pictures of a poem written with nib pen and ink in a moleskine notebook, and the reading on Soundcloud.
You have such a beautiful voice, Kerry!💖 Loved hearing you read this exquisite poem aloud. I found myself completely absorbed as though walking with you through the dream and could feel the "dark conspiracy of leaves." Sometimes a dream can feel so real that one can't help but try to gather and piece it together. 💞
That ending... oh, the movement and the implications attached to it. The wanting to move, to leave, to find... while still wanting to hold on to what once was. What a complex spot to inhabit.
Oh, I remember this one from the Dream challenge/prompt. It's exquisite in its form and surreal composition — it's also wonderful to hear you read it out loud as you intend it to sound. That is special.
This one of the very few times I regret not having sound installed on my puter or on my phone. This is an amazing poem. It is surrealistic and powerful. Sometimes our dreams are so powerful and real, they stay with us through the next day. We seem to be caught in that odd nexus of real life and dream world.
lovely voice to your poems and your writing is interesting too - angled on the tops and so neat. Altogether a most creative endeavour to Instagram it too
This is breathtaking Kerry...both visually and to the ears. Your voice is so lovely. Perfect for poetry reading! Love the new look of your blog by the way. :-)
A beautiful, haunting, disturbing, mysterious poem which I very much enjoyed hearing. It was a good choice of poem to display handwritten, with shadows on the page, so that reading it was a kind of search, echoing the content. And yet – how can I tell you this? – I prefer clear print. :)

ReplyDeleteSounds like a nightmare all right. Does this seem to be taking place in our world, in past history, in fiction...?
