The canary-throated raven grows roots while she whistles her platitudes.

  1. Wow, that face in beak looks SO cool!

Platitudes suck. This is a good warning about how not to be. Though the art is outstanding! It makes me think of a scene in Dracula last night, where his bloody and slimy human form climbs out of the wolf body he had been roaming around in (just outside the convent where his “bride” was hiding). Really gross, but a good show.

  2. So much conversation going on in one sentence, filed under "flight," with roots and wings at once! Very muscular for tweet-sized comportment and the drawing adds dimension in the woman's face. Interesting series, Kerry.

  6. Kerry, I am speechless over the illustration and your American Sentence goes perfectly with it. I wish I could draw like that!
